Our History
Suddenly a merry being, emerges intrusive and surprisingly, Happy People. He appeared before the astonished eyes of a woman, already remarkable, and with a simple and accurate event, jumpstarted our history. Although at that time, we still did not know it.
Years later, a bird oracle predicted our presence and thus began the journey back home.
The Druid Community of Mexico, legitimate centre of Druidism in our country is here and is present, guided by Awen through the worlds and through time, before the Gods and the Ancestors, in these distant lands far from our historical origins, but so close to the heart of the story, Our Story.
In honour of the oracle, the first instruction group was named Hummingbird Stones Circle, and was established as the foundation of Our Community.
The story since is hidden, continuous and hermetic.
Hidden because we never considered proselytize, and still, our branches have grown. Continuous as it has not been interrupted in the vertical lines of time and hermetic because we are zealous warriors in vigilance of what we have received.
Three decades after its foundation, the Community, better known as the Druid Order of Mexico, has become an Institution. Faithful to the ancient practice of oral transmission, it is in the heart of the University of Avallach ® and the Laboratory of History and Mythology where the foundation of Our Druidism develops and is guarded: the lessons, reflections, the chronicles of our journey and other bardic matters that support our philosophy. Broceliande Forest Foundation serves as a vehicle for the publication and promotion of our own research and culture projects, but above all as the instrument for the transmission of teachings and the systems which serve the community, such as Druidh Medicine SystemsTM.
Vested with the robes of antiquity, the Druids now walk about towns and cities. Instead of recreating a past that cannot be brought back nor comprehended, Druids not only walk in the 21st century, but navigate:
The Internet is an ocean where many a vessel deviates, given the excessive information the risk of being overwhelmed by tides or devoured by beasts is great. Now we have opened the doors to sailors, travellers and seekers. Those who wish to leave the waters and step firmly on the forest: Our Greenwood may come in to learn about history, celtic studies and perhaps, aspire to the Druid Tradition.
Honour be to the Teachers of the past, present and future.
We greet and offer our gratitude to the Mexican shamans for allowing Our Lineage to take root in this country and build this bridge of stones, like a rainbow, between men and Awen, allowing the Druid Community of Mexico to extend its wings: Tradition of Celt Warriors, spontaneous, without modern foreign references or hollow claims.
