Druidry is an ancient religious tradition that has awakened from its slumber as a new spirituality. Like the old tradition, the new Druidism lacks no challenges, nor opportunities: multiple meanings to what is sacred, remarkable spiritual strength, transforming – even provocative- poetry, a free spirit, creative mind and heroic stance. Revealed as a newfound wisdom.

Inspiration in historic Druidism is an almost intuitive act, sometimes romantic, sometimes utopian, and based on something that was born over 3000 years and reached its peak in beliefs and practices during the Iron Age. However, its true origin has been lost in the mists of time.
The organization of the ancient Druidic body was quite complex and hermetic, thus very little is known, given their zeal and rigorous oral transmission. Despite this, many existing organizations, consider three basic groups: Druids, Ovates and Bards. Perhaps it’s a mere simplification in the absence of written evidence directly by the High Druid of their time. As a result, a wide range of interpretations, different types of practices and diverse objectives are acknowledged –ranging from academic historical reconstruction, scholarship texts of Celtic Christianity, to the thorough documentation of Roman historians and the total embedding in Folk, from the Middle Ages to the New Age.

For the Druid Order of Mexico, the memory of Druidism survives in the spirit of transformation: open, visionary and belligerent, which is alive in our times. Such spirit has a deep need to integrate the vision, nurtured from the collective unconscious of those who had the faculty to relate with natural forces and obtain meaning, character, vision, power and knowledge, create agreements with the hallowed earth, the divine manifestation of the universe and the mystery of human nature, spurred on in the midst of the forest and the conscience in active meditation; in the passionate observation of all beings and the natural cycles of the world around them.
This is how any Druid school of our time must maintain this legacy in the heart of their beliefs, practices and visions.
This is a challenge that proposes that, from the spiritual connection, a line of continuity between the worlds is created and directed, with no limits of time and space.

Given this certainty, anyone who pretends to be Druid, Ovate or Bard is one who understands that these names mean living and expressing a particular energy, within a community. It means going beyond the traditional roles of a mere magician or counsellor, a poet or a storyteller –such roles may be exchanged throughout the initiated training. Being a Bard, for example, depends on a vocation rather than an appointment. Destined for Being in the right place at the right time and testify, witness, learn and interact, both in fact and among extraordinary circumstances, about the experience of Druidism. Thus, in the depths of the Bard´s Awen, his own presence is manifestation of magical worlds in resonance with Druidism itself, and will translate into hundreds of poems, stories, inspirations, teachings or whatever they have be to make sense, to give sacred and humanistic meaning to the community.

The Druid Order of Mexico is an organization bound to the study of the ancient religious tradition as well as the bearer of the conviction of belonging to a live and pulsating Tradition. The experience of Druidism goes beyond a reinvention; it is the awakening of a new consciousness recognized in the legacy of ancestry. No need to reuse or repeat, but to feel, to create and continue.

On the ultimate direction of Druidism, there is not a last word to be said, for this adventure is about a mysterious forest of generous trees and full branches which gradually reveal their leaves and fruit. Words are meaningless before the mystical experience: “Illumination”, “unity” and “infinity” are limiting concepts in this emerging language manifesting once more and revealed day by day, oblivious to the national tongues ​​of the ordinary world.

The truth is vast.
The truth is what is real starting from what is genuine and is legitimate from what is created and has no precedent.
The truth is correct.
